Situated 15km southeast from Castellane, the village of Peyroules is located in a long valley of slopes. Once the village stood on a mountainside at 1240m high, around the castle which was within the Castellane Barony. Peyroules is since the 15th century the result of the association of four hamlet: La Bâtie, Le Mousteiret, la Foux & La Rivière.
